Jeenbekov, Mirziyoyev discuss conflict situation in border area

Bishkek, June 2, 2020. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov held on Monday a phone conversation with Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The two heads of state discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation, including cross-border collaboration, and a conflict situation in the border area occured on May 31, 2020, the press service of the Kyrgyz President said. Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev agreed to take all necessary measures to prevent them in the future. The Uzbek, Kyrgyz leaders also agreed that the peoples of the two countries, who have been living side by side in friendship and harmony anciently, have always helped each other in difficult times. The two presidents expressed mutual gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided on many occasions.
