Jeenbekov talks over phone with Iranian leader Rouhani

Bishkek, June 9, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, June 9, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov had a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani, his press service reported. The sides discussed current directions and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including joint measures to combat coronavirus infection. President Jeenbekov expressed his gratitude for the support provided to Kyrgyzstan in the fight against the disease, in particular, for the provision of appropriate humanitarian assistance. The two leaders stressed the importance of intensifying bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as increasing trade turnover between the countries. Jeenbekov and Rouhani expressed interest in continuing fruitful cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Iran on the whole range of issues of interest.
