Jordanian Communications Minister to QNA: Holding World Cup in Qatar is Historic Opportunity, Message to the World

Doha, November 01 (QNA) - HE Jordan's Minister of Government Communications and Government Spokesperson Faisal Al Shboul underlined that holding the World Cup in Qatar is a message to the whole world, that the Middle East is committed to international charters, norms, and laws and follows an approach based on peace, tolerance, and love, in line with the international standards system. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on Tuesday, Al Shboul said that millions of people will turn their eyes to the Arab region during the World Cup activities, which calls for providing the highest levels of support from everyone towards the great efforts made by Qatar to host this global event that is a source of pride. He pointed out that FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has a unique specialty, as it will be held for the first time on Arab land. He pointed out that Jordan, which launched Amman's message calling for tolerance and unity, considers this tournament a historic opportunity for civilizations to meet in sports and cultural activities in Qatar, which imposes a responsibility on the Arab region, which is the cradle of religions and cultures, to present its vision and approach based on peace and love for all countries of the world. His Excellency praised the efforts and preparations made by Qatar since winning the bid to host this world championship, including developing infrastructure, establishing eight stadiums, and logistical services. At the end of his statement to QNA, Al Shboul said that the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan supports the State of Qatar, which has assumed responsibility for this great achievement, which represents the Arabs and helps them to reflect the true image of the Arab region.
