KACST Chairman Hails Leadership's Support of Scientific Research, Innovation

Riyadh, March 22, 2021, SPA -- Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) Eng. Abdullah Amer Al-Sawahah has expressed gratitude and appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, who is also President of the Higher Committee for Research, Development and Innovation, for their support of the scientific research, development and innovation in general and the KACST in particular, extending congratulations for the Saudi Leadership and the Kingdom on the success of the launch of the "Shaheen Sat" satellite. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Sawahah said that "the launch of the new generation of satellites reflects the Kingdom’s endeavor to lay down the foundations of an innovation-based national economy”, highlighting the efforts of the Saudi researchers, developers and innovators towards achieving this objective. --SPA
