Katara Launches Qatari Public Diplomacy Promotional Campaign in January

Doha, December 26 QNA- The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara announced today the Qatari Public Diplomacy Promotional Campaign - January 2023.
The Campaign includes a series of educational and awareness lectures dealing with public diplomacy in its various cultural, educational, traditional and economic fields.
The CEO of Katara Public Diplomacy Center Darwish Ahmed Al-Shaibani, said that the center seeks, through launching the campaign, to build and qualify the national capabilities in the field of public diplomacy through a distinguished program that trains and qualifies those who want to work in the field of public diplomacy in its various departments and specialties.
He pointed out that the campaign includes specialized lectures target employees in various official ministries and authorities, held at their workplaces, to increase knowledge and develop manpower through training and qualifying in the field of public diplomacy, in addition to highlighting its role in the field if international affairs, and building bridges of communication between communities and nations.
He explained that this campaign comes after the success achieved by Katara during its presidency of the current session of the Global Public Diplomacy Network, which membership includes 27 countries from different continents of the world, and a year after the establishment of the Katara Public Diplomacy Center, which is the first of its kind in Qatar, Gulf region and Middle East.
He emphasized that the center's objectives focus on building national capabilities, publishing research and studies on public diplomacy in its various aspects in order to open new horizons of dialogue and promote bridges that link between the Arab and world culture, in addition to achieving sustainable development to achieve a more sophisticated and advanced reality.
The CEO of Katara Public Diplomacy Center, expressed his happiness of the impressive success achieved by the State of Qatar in hosting exceptional tournament of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which marked a milestone in the history of the World Cup tournaments, appreciating impressive contribution of the World Cup in bringing peoples and cultures together and introducing the true bright image of the region. He praised the local media for highlighting the bright image of Arab culture and introducing it through broadcasting the events that accompanies FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The campaign is provided by a number of Their Excellencies, ministers, ambassadors and faculties, in addition to training courses for workers at official and governmental ministries and authorities in the field of public diplomacy and negotiating.
This program coincides with the launch of a media campaign designed to increase awareness in collaboration with local television channels and social media platforms to broadcast a set of TV interviews and videos. (QNA)
