Kazakhstan to significantly increase car production

Astana, Kazakhstan, Feb.6 By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend: Kazakhstan's car industry plans to increase car production to 60,000 per year in 2014, Kazakh Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev said at an expanded board meeting of the ministry with participation of the country's Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov. "The ministry will pay special attention to the development of national machine building in 2014. We plan to produce over 60,000 cars per year in the industry this year," the minister said. Meanwhile, the minister stressed that the plan is based on the integration processes in which Kazakhstan participates. Car production in Kazakhstan doubled in 2013 compare to 2012, from 19,186 to 37,471, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies.
