Kazakhstan's foreign policy to be aimed at strengthening bilateral relations with neighbors

Kazakhstan, Astana, 18 Feb. / Trend, D. Mukhtarov / Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov discussed priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, the press service of the head of state reported. During the meeting, it was noted that the foreign policy of Kazakhstan will continue to be geopolitically balanced with a focus on strengthening bilateral relations with neighboring countries. Another main priority of the foreign policy is Eurasian integration. During the meeting, Idrisov informed the President of Kazakhstan on the main achievements made in foreign policy in 2012, the current activities of the Ministry and implementation of the tasks assigned to the Ministry for the period ahead. The President stressed the need to promote the inflow of foreign investment in Kazakhstan and strengthen the economic dimension of foreign policy. According to Idrisov, activities of the ministry will focus on implementation of the tasks in the field of international relations stated in the Kazakhstan-2050 strategy, and successful organization of EXPO-2017. Following the meeting, the President gave some specific instructions for the implementation of the foreign policy priorities of the country. Do you have any feedback?
