Khalid bin Hamad hails endurance achievement

Samorin, Sep. 17 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of The Supreme Council for Youth & Sport, the President of Bahrain Athletics Association offered to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and to the leadership of Bahrain his congratulations on the occasion of the unprecedented achievement made by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Captain, and his team fellow Raed Mahmood, who won third and fourth places respectively in the World Endurance Championships in Slovakia. "I congratulate HM the King and HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince and the people of Bahrain on these results in the World Endurance Championships in Slovakia," HH Shaikh Khalid said. "They came as a result of the sponsorship extended by HM the King to this sport and without which this achievement would not have been possible." HH Shaikh Khalid also extended a hearty congratulation to HH Shaikh Nasser on this achievement which adds to his record of accomplishments that have played a key role in consolidating Bahrain's position in the field of sports. HH Shaikh Khalid also offered his congratulations to the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team's jockeys for the honourable result, lauding HH Shaikh Nasser's skills during the event that allowed him to surpass world's elite jockeys. HH Shaikh Khalid who was present during the event encouraged his compatriots led by HH Shaikh Nasser.
