Khalifa Foundation offers 12 ambulances to Tunisia

Tunis, Feb 3, 2013 (WAM) - The Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation has offered 12 ambulances to the ministry of health in Tunisia. The health assistance was delivered to the Tunisian health authorities during a ceremony attended by staff of the UAE Embassy there and the Tunisian Health Minister, Dr. Abdul-Latif Al-Makky. The Foundation said the state-of-the-art ambulance would support health services provided to mothers and children. Additional medical equipment will arrive later. Tunisian Health Minister Dr. Abdul-Latif Al-Makky told WAM the ambulances formed the first consignment of a package of health assistance the Foundation has promised to deliver to Tunisia. ''The health aid came under the umbrella of the distinguished ties between the brotherly peoples of the UAE and Tunisia,'' he added. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
