King’s directives roadmap for nation’s progress

Manama, June 16 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh has stressed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s wisdom and directives have outlined the roadmap for the bicameral National Assembly to achieve national interests, preserve Bahrain’s deep-rooted values and principles and strengthen the pillars of the civil state.
During his meeting with HM King received him yesterday in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the Shura chairman, affirmed that HM King Hamad’s wisdom and vision have led the kingdom towards a citizen-oriented comprehensive development march.
He lauded HM the King’s unwavering support for the Legislative Branch, and keenness to follow up on all legislation and laws that achieve progress and prosperity, safeguard the interests of the nation and the citizens and consolidate the advanced levels reached by Bahrain in various fields.
Al-Saleh emphasised that the Shura Council would spare no effort in order to study and approve legislation and laws that support HM the King’s Reform Project, and enhance the kingdom’s status and make it a leader in providing a competitive investment climate that contributes to creating opportunities for the citizens that reflect their leadership skills and distinguished expertise.
The Shura Council chairman praised the role played by the government, led by HRH Premier, in supporting the Legislative Branch and reaching the highest levels of cooperation and coordination to approve legislation and laws that achieve the interests of the nation and the citizens, lauding HRH the Crown Prince’s interest and follow-up.
He stressed that the government’s role and constant cooperation with the Legislature are the best guarantees to develop laws that entitle the kingdom to be among developed countries in the legislative field, and to consolidate its freedom and democracy values.
