King’s visit to Turkey hailed

Manama, Aug. 26 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s visit to Turkey reflects deep-rooted fraternal relation. “The visit, at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, shows Bahrain’s respect for democracy and the pillars of legitimate rule”, said Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh. He stressed the significance of the timely royal visit which, he said, aims to confront joint challenges and threats and expand cooperation between the two countries. He underscored the importance of the signed agreements in strengthening cooperation and coordination in all fields, saying that the visit reflects keenness on security, stability and the rule of the law. He underlined the two countries’ keen interest in consolidating cooperation to combat terrorism and extremism and strengthen economic and strategic partnership.
