King Hamad Award for Empowering Youth hailed

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh has hailed the initiative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of launching the 'King Hamad Award for Empowering Youth' to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs). The minister commended the initiative as the first of its type in the world led by His Majesty the King aimed to achieve global sustainable development goals (SDGs). The minister stressed the effective role of youth in coming up with novel and unprecedented ideas aimed to attain the global SDGs. Al Saleh expressed her wholehearted encouragement to the youth category who will lead and achieve development emanating from their sincere desire in partnership and development. "There are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) approved by the world leaders in September 2015 during an historic summit. The list of SDGs includes the third goal pertaining to human health promotion, affirming the importance of a healthy lifestyle for all age groups," according to the minister.
