King receives Parliament, Information Affairs Ministers

Manama, Mar. 6 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Al-Safriya Palace - in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier – Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim bin Fadhl Al-Bouainain and Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rumaihi, who took their oath before HM the King. HM the King congratulated the new ministers on their appointment, wishing them every success in assuming their national responsibilities in serving the homeland and citizens. He commended their competence and experience which qualify them to perform their duties fully, stressing the importance of continuing work to develop media facilities so that they keep pace with the wide-ranging development in all facets of life in Bahrain. He underlined the crucial role of the national media in cementing national unity, disseminating the values of religious tolerance and co-existence, advocating social issues and promoting Bahrain's landmark achievements in all fields. HM the King underscored the importance of consolidating executive-legislative cooperation to achieve more national gains for the sake of Bahrain's progress and prosperity and its people's welfare. He highlighted the pivotal role of the legislative branch of Government in consolidating comprehensive development and defending national causes in all regional and international arenas and forums. "The Kingdom of Bahrain will pursue development dynamic to attain more achievements in all fields and sectors", he said, taking pride in the competence of Bahrainis who dedicate themselves to serving the nation, thus ensuring Bahrain a prosperous future. HRH the Premier expressed thanks to HM the King, stressing the Government's resolve to carry out the royal directives towards consolidating the national march, developing the media sector and strengthening fruitful executive-legislative cooperation. HRH the Premier wished Al-Bouainain and Al-Rumaihi every success to contribute alongside fellow ministers to achieving all the progress, prosperity and well-being that the people of Bahrain aspires to. The appointed ministers expressed deepest thanks to HM the King for the royal trust, pledging to work towards implementing his directives in assuming their duties. They vowed to spare no effort in serving the nation and citizens so as to consolidate the standing of Bahrain among advanced countries.
