King's success to maintain national unity stressed

Manama, June 24 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today the intelligentsia, economic personalities, media persons and citizens and discussed with them local and international issues.  HRH the Premier affirmed success of His Majesty the King to maintain national unity and prevent any attempt to tamper with it. He said national unity and social cohesion have remained strong under the leadership of HM the King, stressing resolve to preserve the kingdom’s pioneering status despite all challenges. He stressed keenness to serve citizens’ interests, protect their rights and ensure sustainability of achievements. He lauded national awareness and patriotism of the Bahraini people, pointing out the government’s keenness on reaching out to citizens and catering for their needs in coordination with the constitutional institutions. HRH the Prime Minister underlined the government’s keenness to ensure retirement and insurance funds are assuming their role perfectly and according to set up regulations. He also described maintaining national security and stability as a top priority amid current regional developments, pointing out the need to draw lessons from what is going around and work on protecting Bahrain. He paid tribute to the Bahraini people for their strong patriotism, lauding their solid stances in facing foreign interference. HRH the Premier commended the one-family spirit characterising the Bahraini people, describing social cohesion as a bulwark for national security and stability. He urged to hold on to the inherent Bahraini values and further bolster them to fast-track development.
