King's support for inter-faith dialogue conferences hailed

Manama, Dec. 3 (BNA): His Beatitude, Bishop John V, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East of the Orthodox Church, hailed the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to all faiths and religious beliefs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which has become a model of religious coexistence and cultures rapprochement. This came during the reception of His Beatitude John V to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation, Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati, in the presence of the Representative of Patriarch of Antioch to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Niphon Saikali. Bishop John V expressed the Orthodox Church's appreciation to His Majesty the King for his royal command to allocate a piece of land in the Kingdom of Bahrain to establish the church, noting the religious freedoms enjoyed by all religions and sects in the Kingdom. He highlighted His Majesty's support for the conferences of dialogue among civilisations, which enhances communication among the peoples of the world and promotes the principles of love, goodness and peace. He recalled his meeting with His Majesty the King in Bahrain, during which His Majesty pointed out that Bahrain has always been a home for all religions. He also wished His Majesty the King abundant health and success, and the people of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
