Korea to help Kyrgyz textile and clothing enterprises to improve production technology

Bishkek, Aug. 23, 2022 / Kabar /. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, together with the Institute of Dyeing and Design Technologies of the Republic of Korea, has launched the TASK project, which provides for assistance to textile and clothing enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic in improving production technology and creating a network between Korean and Kyrgyz companies for further cooperation. As part of the project, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Kanat Abdrakhmanov, took part in a meeting with President of the DYETEC Institute of Dye and Design Technologies, Mr. Hong San Mu, and representatives of the Institute of Advanced Project Technologies (KIAT), in Daegu. The meeting was also attended by President of Kyrgyzindustria JSC Zharasul Abduraimov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to South Korea Aida Ismailova and representatives of textile and clothing companies of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kyrgyz side noted that the development of a strategic partnership with the Republic of Korea and the preservation of the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation is an unchanged course of the Kyrgyz Republic. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the countries have built friendly, trusting relations and established mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields. Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the development of light industry, which is one of the priority industries, has a high export potential and great social importance, which ensures high employment of the population with jobs. During the meeting, Deputy Minister Abdrakhmanov discussed with representatives of the Korean side the grant project Creation of the Kyrgyz-Korean center for cooperation on digital technologies of textile production for the development of sustainable light industry in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024-2028 for a total amount of 8 million dollars, which is under consideration and prepared jointly with scientific Korean institutions with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thanks to the development of the digital industry in the Kyrgyz Republic, it will be possible to produce high-value products, the qualifications of technologists, managers and seamstresses will be increased, which ensure the growth of production volumes and the creation of new jobs. It was announced that the knowledge and experience transferred by the experts of the Republic of Korea to domestic companies will be successfully applied and allows industry enterprises to become competitive in the international market and introduce innovative approaches in their activities.
