KSA reiterates support to Bahrain

Manama, July 2 (BNA): Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Abdullah Al-Shaikh stressed his country’s keenness on security and stability in Bahrain. In an interview with Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper published today, he affirmed that Bahrain’s security is an integral part of Saudi Arabia’s, commending the role of Bahrain in the Islamic alliance thanks to the policy of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who spares no effort for people’s welfare and stability. He also praised His Royal Highness the Premier’s keenness on unity of the Arab and Islamic nations, stressing his wisdom, statesmanship and wealth of experience. Commenting on foreign statements against Bahrain in the aftermath of its recent procedures, the Saudi ambassador affirmed Bahrain’s sovereignty and freedom to take the necessary action for the sake of its security and stability and to promote the welfare of its people. Concerning Iran’s continuous hostile policy against its neighbours, he underlined Saudi Arabia’s rejection of any interference in its internal affairs or the affairs of Bahrain or any other country, stressing that any attempt to tamper with the security of Saudi Arabia or Bahrain will face firm and decisive retaliation. The Saudi ambassador unveiled a boom in the Saudi investments in Bahrain over the past years thanks to stability and prosperity in Bahrain. He pointed out that the Saudi investments in Bahrain exceeded $ 3 billion while the commercial exchange between both countries exceeded $ 37 billion. He said Saudi investors invest mainly in the real estate and commercial sectors and soon there will be a boom in the industrial one too.
