Kyrgyz ambassador proposes to hold Kyrgyz-Ukrainian business forum

At the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Idris Kadyrkulov met with President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Gennadiy Chizhikov on Aug. 4. The Kyrgyz side made a proposal to intensify work aimed at expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine was provided with detailed information on preferences, benefits and opportunities for foreign investors in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The ambassador announced projects in priority sectors of the economy of Kyrgyzstan, which could be of interest to foreign and Ukrainian investors, such as the construction of small and medium-sized hydropower plants, the reproduction of green energy, the processing of agricultural products, the food and light industry, tourism and IT technologies . To achieve practical results, the Ukrainian side was invited to organize a joint business forum in Kyrgyzstan in order to familiarize with tourism and investment opportunities. The Ukrainian side informed that the country's business is interested in finding new favorable places and directions for its development. As a result of the meeting, the sides agreed to organize a second meeting by the end of August to develop a plan for further actions.
