Bishkek, June 24, 2020 / Kabar /. Two members of the delegation of Kyrgyzstan, accompanying President Sooronbay Jeenbekov in Moscow, had positive tests for COVID-19. Press secretary of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Tolgonay Stamalieva said that according to the algorithm, before leaving for Moscow, the head of state Sooronbay Jeenbekov, all the members of the delegation and accompanying persons tested for COVID-19. The results of all of them were negative. She said that, Sooronbay Jeenbekov received the invitation to the Parade in Moscow on May 9 on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Since the May 9 Parade was canceled, an invitation from the Russian President was received again at the end of May. “Given the situation in connection with the pandemic, the composition of the delegation was narrow, everyone regularly have taken tests. Upon arrival in Moscow, everyone again took the test and, as previously reported, the head of the foreign policy department of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Sydykov and one security officer came out with a positive result,” said Stamalieva. The president’s spokeswoman noted that in accordance with a further algorithm, Jeenbekov decided to refrain from participating in events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in World War II. “His participation would be appreciated as an irresponsible step towards those who take part in the events,” she emphasized. According to the press secretary, the president and those accompanying will return to Bishkek, the entire algorithm will be followed in relation to those whose analysis has shown a positive result - 14 days of self-isolation. “The president and others will go into self-isolation until the results of the analysis are released, presumably for 3 days,” Stamalieva said.
