Kyrgyz President had phone conversation with IsDB President

Bishkek, Apr. 8, 2020 / Kabar /. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov and President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Bandar AlHajjar held a phone conversation, the Kyrgyz president’s press service said. The current state and prospects of bilateral economic cooperation between the IsDB and Kyrgyzstan, as well as measures to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection, were discussed during the phone talk. Jeenbekov expressed gratitude for the support provided to the Kyrgyz Republic in the development of the economy, including in the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection and its consequences. Sooronbay Jeenbekov suggested considering the possibility of providing assistance to Kyrgyzstan to mitigate the socio-economic consequences of the spread of this disease. IsDB President Bandar Al Hajjar emphasized that coronavirus infection is a serious challenge for the population and economies of all countries of the world. He assured that the IsDB will consider providing appropriate support to Kyrgyzstan.
