Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to strengthening co-op between CA countries, Jeenbekov

Tashkent, Nov.29, 2019. /Kabar/. Addressing the Second Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asian States in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov emphasized the political significance of such meetings.
The President stressed Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation between Central Asian states.
“We are interested in developing a systemic political dialogue in the five-sided format. Successful regional cooperation will allow us to achieve concrete results in solving existing problems and improving the welfare of our peoples.
I am convinced that we have all the necessary prerequisites for stable, open and dynamic development, based on friendship and good neighborliness. We are all building close relations with Russia, interacting with her in various political and economic formats,” he said.
The Kyrgyz leader noted with satisfaction the Kyrgyz Republic has similar positions within the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and other structures.
He expressed the need to jointly promote the interests of the region in international and regional organizations, relying on mutual trust and support.
The Second Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asian State in Tashkent is being attended by Presidents of Kyrgyzstan-Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Tajikistan-Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan- Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Uzbekistan- Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
