Kyrgyzstan, Bahrain discuss creation of Business Council

Bishkek, June 22, 2022. /Kabar/. Manama city hosted a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Bahrain Mohamed Abduljabbar. The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting was also attended by members of the Board and CEO of the Bahrain CCI. During the conversation, a detailed exchange of views on various issues related to trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries took place. In particular, the sides discussed opportunities for joint work in the sphere of subsoil use, energy, agriculture, tourism, and export of domestic products to Bahrain. Particular attention was paid to the issue of solving transport and logistics problems to increase trade and economic ties between the two countries, given their geographical distance from each other and noted the need to open direct flights between the two countries. Jeenbek Kulubaev proposed to establish the Kyrgyz-Bahrain Business Council with the aim of establishing contacts between business circles of the two countries and organizing various events. Bahraini side supported this initiative, and the two sides agreed to continue working in this direction. Besides, in order to implement agreements reached, the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bahrain requested assistance in establishing contacts with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the National Investment Agency under President of Kyrgyzstan. In conclusion, the sides reaffirmed their interest in strengthening trade and economic relations and bringing business circles of the two countries closer.
