Kyrgyzstan intends to activate cooperation with UK and USA

Bishkek, March 14, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov announced his intention to activate bilateral cooperation with the United Kingdom and the United States. At a meeting with diplomats of Kyrgyzstan, which took place today in Bishkek, the head of state instructed them to take into account the interests of the state when drawing up relevant documents. “I think that we are stepping up work on the development of bilateral cooperation with the United States and Great Britain. Currently, the process of agreeing on a draft new cooperation agreement with the United States is underway. When discussing this agreement, it is necessary to take into account mutual interests,” Jeenbekov said. In addition, he noted that the recent remission of illegally exported assets in the amount of 4.6 million US dollars was a good start to work with the American side. “It should be continued and carried out on an ongoing basis,” the president added. Jeeenbekov named the processing, light and food industries, as well as energy and tourism as industries of the economic sphere that are of interest in cooperation with other Western countries. He also said in these same areas it is necessary to make full use of the economic and investment potential in cooperation with Arab countries.
