Kyrgyzstan is second among EAEU countries in terms of inflation growth

According to data of the statistical services, in December 2022, compared to the previous month, an increase in consumer prices and tariffs was noted in all Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries. The National Statistical Committee said that in January-December 2022, compared to December 2021, the highest inflation rate in the consumer sector of the economy (20.3%) was recorded in Kazakhstan, due to an increase in food prices (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) by 25.3%, non-food products - by 19.4% and services - by 14.1%. Following is Kyrgyzstan, where the inflation rate in the consumer sector of the economy amounted to 14.7%.
