Kyrgyzstan will not hold mass events in honor of 75th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War

Bishkek, Apr. 28, 2020 / Kabar /. “Due to the current situation, we will not be able to hold mass events on May 9 in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War,” Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said today at a meeting of the Security Council in a narrow composition. The president’s press service said that the head of state added that the Immortal Regiment campaign, which in recent years has found widespread support among citizens, is proposed to be held online. At the same time, Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted that, as in previous years, special attention will be paid to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers, and projects dedicated to the Great Victory will be widely covered in the media.
