Labour Minister attends Arab meeting in Cairo

Cairo, Apr. 6 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan led Bahrain's delegation to the conference on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab Countries in Cairo. The two-day event is being held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi. Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismael and Arab League Secretary-General Dr. Nabeel Al-Arabi attended the opening session. Chairing the session, Humaidan affirmed Bahrain's resolve to achieve the sustainable development goals. He noted that Bahrain hosted the second high-level Arab forum on sustainable development in May 2015 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa. The high-profile pan-Arab symposium had then released the "Bahrain Document" which was reviewed and discussed in the third high-level political forum in New York and adopted as an essential blueprint in the Arab-UN negotiations on the new sustainable development goals.
