Labour Minister meets with ILO Director General

Manama, June 4 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan and his accompanying delegation met with Director General of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Guy Ryder, on the sidelines of their participation in the 105th session of the International Labour Conference hosted by Geneva until June 11. The Labour and Social Development Minister briefed the ILO Director General about Bahrain’s efforts to upgrade legislation and bring about more labour achievements in line with international standards. He stressed that Bahrain’s labour accomplishments are the dividend of the directives of the leadership and the government’s policies. He also reviewed cooperation between Bahrain and ILO in the labour field.
