Labour minister receives AFO chairman

Manama, Mar.16 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan has received the Chairman of Arab Family Organisation (AFO) Jamal bin Obeid Al Bah to review matters pertaining to families in GCC and the Arab world. The minister was informed about AFO's programmes and activities aimed at promoting and enabling Arab families, as well the project of building the GCC national identity, which is based on the promotion of the GCC identity in order to achieve sustainable development. The minister lauded the project's concept and affirmed that family is the society's pillar, adding that this project adds to the Kingdom of Bahrain's gains thanks to the reform project by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW). Al Bah praised the efforts exerted by the ministry of labour and social development and the Bahraini leading experience, which promoted the Bahraini families through development projects, represented by Capital's Complex for products made by Bahraini hands and other projects aimed at enabling the families.
