Labour minister receives Indian ambassador

Manama, Aug. 17 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister and Board Chairman of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received here yesterday the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Alok Kumar Sinha. The minister reviewed with the ambassador a number of issues of common interest. He also discussed with him ways to bolster bilateral cooperation in the labour and development fields, including the development of the labour market-related systems and legislation according to the international labour standards. Humaidan also lauded the role played by the Indian expatriate community, and their positive participation in the progress of modern Bahrain. The Indian Ambassador praised the level of the Bahraini-Indian relations, hailing the support and care of the Government of Bahrain and the Bahraini people to the Indian expatriate community.
