Labour minister receives Philippine envoy

Manama, Nov. 16 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister, Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chairman, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received Philippine President’s Envoy to the GCC countries Dr. Amable Aguiluz. They discussed joint cooperation in the fields of labour amd , and discussed cooperation and human resources development, focusing on employment and vocational training programmes. The minister stressed the importance of strengthening joint work to promote labour and develop human resources, affirming Bahrain’s keenness on private training establishments. Dr. Aguiluz commended Bahrain’s keenness on protecting expatriate workers’ rights and implementing advanced labour legislations, which comply with international standards.
