Leadership congratulated on 21st National Guard milestone

Manama, Jan.6 (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from National Guard Chief Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa marking the 21st anniversary of the National Guard which falls on the 7th of January. Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa reiterated allegiance to HM the King, hailing royal support to the National Guard ever since it was first established. He described the National Guard as a shield that defends national security and stability and protects the homeland, hailing royal directives to enhance combat readiness. HM the King sent a reply cable to Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa, hailing the role of the National Guard which represents, alongside the Bahrain Defence Force and the Public Security, the shield that protests the nation. HM the King extended congratulations to all National Guard officers, commanders and other servicemen, praying to Allah the Almighty to guide them on the path of success in defending the nation and its hard-won achievements. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier have also exchanged similar cables with the National Guard chief.
