Leadership congratulated on BDF, NAC anniversaries

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (SCIA) congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and the Royal Family, and the Kingdom’s government and people, on the National Action Charter (NAC)'s 17th anniversary, which was endorsed by 98.4% votes in 2001 popular referendum, and the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF)'s golden jubilee.
This came during the today’s session president by the Council’s deputy chairman Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa. The Council hailed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa spearheading Bahrain’s progress, prosperity, development, values, norms, freedoms, Arab and Muslim identity and national cohesion.
The Council also congratulated the wise leadership on opening the Mosque of the late former Ruler of Bahrain Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa built in Awali at the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and inaugurated last week by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
The Council paid tribute to the late former Ruler of Bahrain Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his tremendous role in serving Islam and Muslims and laying the foundations of the modern state as well as his exerting a great deal for his faith, people and nation.
The Council praised the leadership’s care and support to the mosques and places of worship, and the government’s expansion and construction of mosques all over the Kingdom’s regions and the provision of all facilitation to enable them to carry out their religious role of promoting and deepening the Islamic values.
