Leadership, Shaikh Nasser congratulated on Bahrain's World Cup qualification

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): Chairperson of the Youth Committee at the Shura Council, Dr. Sawsan Taqawi, has extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, following the qualification of the Bahrain National Handball Team for the World Cup. She stressed that the leadership’s constant support for the Bahraini youth and sports movement has contributed to the kingdom’s attaining multiple regional and international achievements in various sports fields. Dr. Taqawi also extended congratulations to the HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for the national team’s handball World Cup qualification, praising the great role he is playing and the tireless efforts he is exerting in order to push for achieving more sports achievements and gains. The Shura committee chairperson pointed out the qualification is first step towards activating the “Year of Gold” launched by HH Shaikh Nasser two weeks ago, noting that the continuous support of the leadership and HH Shaikh Nasser will enable Bahraini athletes to achieve victories and clinch medals. Dr. Taqawi commended the efforts exerted by the Bahrain Handball Association, Ali Eshaqi, and his aides, for putting forward the rights plans to achieve victories, praising the outstanding performance of the players. She wished the national team and its players, as well as its administrative and technical staff, every success in the World Cup.
