Lithuanian President receives Bahraini ambassador's credentials

Vilnius, Nov. 14 (BNA): President Gitanas Nausؤ da of the Republic of Lithuania today received at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius the credentials of Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar Abdullah as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Lithuania, based in Paris.
On this occasion, the Ambassador conveyed to the President the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister along with the leadership†s wishes of progress and prosperity to the Government and people of the Republic of Lithuania.
As the first accredited Bahraini ambassador to the Republic of Lithuania, the ambassador stressed his keenness to establish strong bilateral relations in all political, diplomatic and cultural fields, especially in the economic area, based on the favorable strategic location of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Gulf region.
For his part, President Nausؤ da congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, assuring him that he would receive all support for the success of his diplomatic duties.
On the sidelines of the visit, Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar Abdullah met at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkeviؤچius, Deputy Foreign Minister Neris Germanas and Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Latin America, Africa and Asia Pacific Diana Mickeviؤچienؤ .
Earlier, the Ambassador also met with Mr. Neilas Tankevicius, Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who handed him a copy of his credentials as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Lithuania who wished him every success in his new duties.
