LMRA CEO receives U.S. Chargé d’Affaires

Manama, Jan. 27 (BNA): Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)’s Chief Executive Officer Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi received U.S. embassy Chargé d’Affaires Margret Nardi.
They discussed Bahraini-US relations, and LMRA’s initiatives in the field of developing the work environment and combat persons trafficking.
LMRA CEO affirmed the authority’s commitment in developing procedures that preserve the rights of all in the labor market.
The chargé d’affaires was briefed on the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons (NCCTIPs)’ projects after its re-formation to implement, particularly working to strengthen the national system to combat this crime.
LMRA’s CEO reviewed the most prominent achievements of the LMRA.
Al Alawi referred to the areas of cooperation and exchange of expertise in the field of training between the LMRA and US and relevant international organizations, aiming to raise the level of competencies of national personnel.
He stressed the Kingdom's keenness to benefit from all the global experiences of international organizations in various labor sectors and the labor market.
Nardi expressed her happiness with the recent projects and achievements that enhance Bahrain's leading position in this field, which develop its main role in exchanging expertise with counterparts in the region.
