LMRA Chief hails legislative support

Manama, June 29 (BNA): Osamah bin Abdullah Al Absi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons (NCCTP) commended the stance expressed by the Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mullah, who hailed the upgrading of Bahrain to Tier 1 status by the US State Department 2018 Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP). He commended the Speaker, who hailed the dedicated efforts of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons (NCCTP) which won Bahrain international recognition. He lauded the role of the legislative branch of government, which gave full priority to NCCTP projects and initiatives, embodying cooperation with the executive authority. “The upgrading of Bahrain to Tier 1 status by the US State Department 2018 Trafficking in Persons Report is the fruit of national exerted by national parties which believe firmly in the reform process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
