Malaysian, Indonesian Education Institutions to Share Expertise in Various Field

KUANTAN (Pahang,Malaysia), June 19 (Bernama) -- The strategic relationship through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked between Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and several Indonesian Polytechnics on Monday, will enable UMP to venture into new and better opportunities in various fields. UMP vice chancellor, Prof Dr Daing Nasir Ibrahim said, the MoU involving LP3I Polytechnic branches in Jakarta, Bandung and Medan as well as Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Ilmu Komputer (STMIK) Bina Sarana Global will broaden the opportunities of UMP in the international arena. Daing Nasir said the MoU would also benefit all parties in areas of research, staff training and also exchange of lecturers, students and academic material. "The smart partnership can also be widened if more academic staff and students are involved in collaborative activities which will be planned soon," he said when met at the signing ceremony here, Monday. The UMP was represented by Prof Dr Daing Nasir, while the Jakarta LP3I Polytechnic by its director Dr Jaenuddin Achmad, Bandung LP3I Polytechnic by its director, Adriza, Medan LP3I Polytechnic by its director Akhwanul Akhmad and the STMIK Bina Sarana Global by its director Dedi Royadi. Meanwhile, Jaenuddin said the programme would also involve students, staff and research exchange programmes, adding that he hoped the relationship can fulfill the objective of producing a professional work force from among students. -- BERNAMA
