Malaysia's Health Minister To Speak At Ministerial Dialogue Session At Healthcare Asia 2012

By Tengku Noor Shamsiah Tengku Abdullah SINGAPORE, March 28 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai will speak at the Ministerial Dialogue session at the Healthcare in Asia 2012 conference at a hotel here Wednesday. He will join the Philippines' Assistant Secretary of Health, Nemesia Gako, and Nila Moeloek, Special Envoy of the Indonesian president, on Millennium Development Goals at the dialogue entitled, 'Accessibility, Accountability and Affordability'. The event will be moderated by The Economist's Asia columnist Simon Long. The two-day conference, beginning Wednesday, brings together leading experts from around the globe to discuss healthcare reforms in emerging Asia. Among the panelists include health ministers, global heads of private firms, leading academics and senior executives from non-governmental organisations and multilaterals. Singapore Health Minister Gan Kim Yong will present a keynote address on how an outcome-oriented approach enabled Singapore to develop a healthcare system to meet the needs of its population. -- BERNAMA
