Manama Centre for Human Rights praises Bahrain's security successes; slams Iran's interference

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): The Manama Centre for Human Rights has lauded the important security achievement announced by the Interior Ministry’s General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, following the arrest of terrorist elements who were preparing for terrorist operations targeting security and civic peace in Bahrain.
Weapons and explosives from Iran were seized with the elements associated with terrorist groups in Iran.
The Centre stressed that the security personnel in Bahrain have always been ready to uncover any terrorist plots aimed at undermining the kingdom’s security and stability, noting that the Interior Ministry, led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, is exerting tremendous efforts to combat terrorism in order to ensure all the citizens’ right to live in security and tranquility.
In this context, Chairperson of the Manama Centre for Human Rights, lawyer Deena Abdulrahman Alladhi, said that Iran’s interference has crossed all limits, which requires an international move to curb its movements that violate international norms and good neighbourliness principles, citing Iran’s continued deliberate recruitment of terrorist elements, as well as training them on using weapons and making explosives to achieve its agenda in the region.
She emphasised that unlike other countries suffering from Iranian interference, Bahrain is immune to Iran’s plots, affirming that the kingdom, thanks to the unity of all its citizens from various sects, rallies behind the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
She said that the Bahraini citizens enjoy freedom, democracy and landmark national achievements, while the Iranian citizens suffer from under-development, and 60% of them live under the poverty line due to their country’s preoccupation with financing terrorism and interference in the domestic affairs of other countries to achieve its expansionist political ambitions.
