Mango Fiesta 2012 at KL Tower Until June 6

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 (Bernama) -- The public can buy various types of mango at special prices at the Mango Fiesta 2012 held at Kuala Lumpur Tower from Friday until June 6. Entry is free to the fiesta, held from 10am to 6pm daily during the duration. It is jointly organised by KL Tower and the Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (Fama). There will be 10 tonnes of mangoes from 10 different varieties, including 'Harum Manis', 'Chokanan', 'Maha', 'Perlis Sunshine', 'Masmadu', Waterlily and 'Lemak Manis', available. The fiesta was launched on Friday by Fama director-general Ahmad Ishak, with KL Tower chief executive officer Zuraidah Mohd Said also present. Ahmad said besides promoting local mangoes including to foreign tourists, the fiesta was also aimed at expanding the market size of the fruit. Besides fresh mangoes, there are also mango-based products available, an exhibition and cooking demonstrations at the Mango Fiesta. -- BERNAMA
