MAS Offers Extra, Upgraded Flights During Festive Season

KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will mount 55 extra and nine upgraded flights between Kuala Lumpur and Medan, Indonesia and for domestic routes to cater to increased demand during the Aidilfitri festive season. MAS said in a statement Monday the flights would offer a total of 10,824 seats for booking through all its distribution channels from Aug 16 to 28, 2012. The KL-Medan return flights are increased to 15 times to accommodate the increase in demand during the Raya festive period. Three flights will be upgraded for the Kuala Lumpur-Kota Kinabalu route and six flights from Kuala Lumpur-Kuching. MAS will continue to monitor the booking trend during this festive season and offer additional flights if necessary. -- BERNAMA
