Master degree programme launched

Manama, Mar. 13 (BNA): A master degree programme in security science in English language was launched at the Royal Academy of Police (RAP), in cooperation with the University of Huddersfield. On behalf of Chief of Public Security and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) Major-General Tariq Al Hassan, Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training, Brigadier Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa attended the event. Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources was also present, along with other senior officers.
The Assistant Chief asserted that the new programme was part of the modernisation and development strategy of the Interior Ministry founded by the Interior Minister to enhance the skills of police personnel. The Commander of the Officer Training College, Colonel Ammar Al-Sayed said that twenty-six officers enrolled in the one-year programme, stressing cooperation with foreign universities to develop curricula and training programmes.
