Mataram Immigration Hands Over Malaysian National Case To Court
MATARAM, W Nusa Tenggara, Feb 9 (Antara) - Officers of the Mataram Class 1 Immigration in West Nusa Tenggara handed over the case of a Malaysian national, identified as 65-year-old Cik Hasan, to the research prosecutors in the Central Lombok District Court.
One of the officers, Ramdani stated in Mataram, Thursday evening that the hand over of the alleged forgery of personal documents case is a follow up measure based on the case files that were deemed complete by the prosecutor on Tuesday.
"As the files are completed, we are then moving into the last stages, which is the hand over of the suspect himself, as well as the evidences to the prosecutor.
The Malaysian senior citizen had his cover busted after living with his wife and children in Batukliang, Central Lombok for seven years, he was then handed over to the Court on Wednesday.
The procedure taken was based on the evidence that had been seized by immigration officers. The inspection of his personal documents revealed a mismatch with his domicile in Malaysia, from identification card, birth certificate, family card, driving license and Indonesian passport.
"We suspected that all his documents are fake," he stated.
Hasan's disguise as an Indonesian citizen was proven to be difficult to uncover, as he had been living in the area since 2010 with his wife and children.
From his confession, he had gone back and forth between Lombok and Malaysia four times, without being suspected by the airport authority officer as a foreigner.
Therefore, in his criminal suspect, Hasan is alleged to have given false information in each of his personal documents, having his address at Mekar Bersatu Village, Batu Kliang Sub-district, Central Lombok, including those listed in his passport.
He is then threatened by Article 126 C of the State Law Number 6/2011 on Immigration with a maximum of five years imprisonment and a fine of Rp500 million.
