MBMA hosts Algerian ambassador

Manama, Apr.7 (BNA): The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies launched today the second edition of the series (Academic Councils). The programme was held virtually, in the presence of Algerian Ambassador Fouad Sadiq Al Baharna, in addition to a number of senior officials and employees from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In its first session of the Council of Ambassadors, the program hosted Algerian to Bahrain, Abdelhamid Ahmed Khoja. The session was moderated by the Head of the Arab Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Tarifi. The ambassador thanked Foreign Minister and MBMA Director General Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, for providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas. He highlighted his country’s diplomacy, history and the role of Arab and Asian countries in Algeria’s independence from French colonialism. Ambassador Fouad Sadiq Al Baharna praised bilateral relations, stressing Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen joint ties, noting that coordination has been established between the two sides, and the establishment of the Parliamentary Group for Algeria-Bahrain Friendship. “The establishment of this group will be a new impetus for the course of relations between the two countries”, said Ambassador Al Baharna.
