Minister to address Solar Utilities Network

Manama, Jan. 29 (BNA): Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Dr Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, will deliver a key note address to the Solar Utilities Network (S.U.N.) on 7th February at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The inaugural S.UN. event which carries the patronage of Dr. Mirza, will look to create an exchange of knowledge on Solar and Renewable technology. The Forum will focus on the challenges and opportunities of Solar including; PV Storage, Solar Power Generation policies of the government, energy storage and work-force skilling.
Jubran Abdulrahman, Managing Director of Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE), says: “We are honored to have Dr Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs support the event. Dr Mirza is leading the front and has been a key figure in developing Bahrain’s Solar and Renewable Energy policies. His Keynote address is widely anticipated by an international audience for the event from as far as Finland and the Czech Republic and as near as Saudi Arabia. ”
Dr. Mirza is expected to outline the practical realization of the vision for Bahrain’s goal of 5% of its energy needs being delivered through Renewables by 2025. The Minister will look to emphasis the job creation and economic wins from the transition to renewables for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“Solaris of global interest and the Network is organized against the backdrop of an Exhibition , the Gulf Industry Fair, which will be looking at products and services such as photovoltaic systems, energy storage and the implementation of PV systems for industrial use.“ adds Mr Abdulrahman
Among the presenters scheduled to speakat the event will be Dr Khalid Burashid, senior technical advisor, and Alexander Al Samahiji, solar expert, from the SEU of the Kingdom of Bahrain; Dr.TouficHawat, Chief Technology Advisor, Huawei Smart Solar; Dr. Mohammed Asif Professor .at King Fahad University Saudi Arabia and Dr Praveen Saxena, CEO, Green Jobs Council, India.
The S.U.N Forum, which also carries the support of the Bahrain Solar Association, takes place alongside the Gulf Industry Fair which takes place from 6-8 February. The event takes place on the 7th of February, attendance is free but subject to pre- registration online atwww.gulfindustryfair.com
