Minister congratulates on winning ALO seats

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan congratulated Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)’s Chairman Sameer Abdullah Nass ,and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al-Hurr) Yaqoob Yousif Mohammed, on winning two seats in the Arab Labour Organization (ALO) for the period 2018-2020 for the employers and workers teams during the elections held in the 45th Arab Labour Conference held in Cairo on April 8-15. The minister praised the re-election of Fawzia Saleh Shehab the Director of Unemployment Insurance Directorate at the Ministry of Labour and Social Development as a member to the Arab Labour Organisation (ALO)'s Arab Working Woman Affairs Committee for the term 2018-2020. He also praised the election of the second deputy chairman of the Federation, Labour and Child Affairs Officer, Zubaida Ghulam Al Balushi. The Arab Labour Conference concluded its forty-fifth session after discussing a number of labor-related issues of importance at the current stage aimed at reducing unemployment and promoting decent work opportunities.
