Minister: Innovation necessary for improving productivity

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, pointed out the importance of innovative initiatives in promoting the national economy. Saying innovation is no longer an option, but rather a necessity for nations to improve productivity. The minister, in a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), noted the ministry’s role in urging public and private institutions to provide healthy work environments to contribute to improving productivity. He said the Fifth Gulf Forum for Human Resources Development, currently hosted by Bahrain, highlighted that the management of innovation falls into the responsibility of the human resources managements. He added the forum aims to encourage the resident and national aptitudes to offer innovative initiatives to contribute to achieving Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
