Minister participates in Riyadh International Education Forum

Riyadh, Apr. 10 (BNA): Education Minister Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi participated in opening the International Education Forum/Exhibition held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the Saudi capital Riyadh, and themed "Teaching/Learning in early childhood."
Dr. Al Nuaimi expressed pride at the invitation from his Saudi counterpart to participate in this key forum and exhibition, and allocating a special pavilion for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ministry of Education to showcase its projects and programmes. He stressed the importance of educational cooperation among the sisterly Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to exchange expertise and experiences and view the efforts of other countries in this field.
In his intervention during the forum’s first session, the minister praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to education at all stages in Bahrain, including pre-school stage, through enactment of legislations and laws for opening kindergartens, and praised Bahrain’s rich experience in application of the uniform curriculum for kindergartens which was compiled by experts at the ministry and made available to kindergartens all over the Kingdom.
The exhibition and forum take place on April 9-11 and attracted the participation of 120 experts on early childhood from Saudi Arabia and abroad. The event also included presentation of 33 working papers during its scientific sessions. The experience of the United States which is the forum’s Guest of Honour will be showcased in the field of early childhood education.
