Minister receives ABENGOA officials

Manama, Apr. 20 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Hisham Faisal Al-Hujailan, the Director General of ABENGOA, a company specialised in the field of solar energy, and a number of officials. Dr. Mirza was briefed on the projects and activities of the company in the field of investment in solar energy and their desire to participate in projects in Bahrain according to available opportunities. The minister praised the activities of ABENGOA, which is one of the largest companies in the field of electricity and solar energy and the projects they carry out, explaining that the Sustainable Energy Unit, which is interested in encouraging investment in renewable energies, is interested to know what the companies specialized in this field and study their offers and work on the possibility of cooperation with them. The visitors thanked the minister and officials for the welcome and the hospitality and for opening prospects of cooperation with companies working in the field of solar energy. The meeting was attended by Dr. Khalid Ahmed Bouradash, Advisor to the Sustainable Energy Unit and Dr. Ahmed Hashim, Advisor to the Minister.
