Minister receives Bahrain Women Union officials

Manama, Apr.18 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan received Badriya Al Marzouq, the Chairwoman of the Bahrain Women Union, accompanied with some of the board members. They reviewed the Union's plans for the next phase, and ways of unifying the efforts between the various entities supporting Bahraini women to highlight their developmental role and overcome any obstacles that may impede women's progress. Humaidan praised the objectives of the Bahrain Women Union for supporting Bahraini women, its role in motivating them to enhance their efforts, and participating in Bahrain’s development, as well as to raise awareness of the importance of their participation in civil society institutions. Al Marzouq and her team commended the efforts of Labour and Social Development Ministry to support the Women's Union projects.
